Chargers Defeat The Ravens 38 - 2!

On last Sunday, the Chargers finished their regular season with an 11 - 0 record winning their division and getting a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Chargers will host the winner of the Warminster Colts & Olney Blaze game on Sunday, November 27th @ papa playground 4:00pm at 68th & Lansdowne Ave .

The Chargers came out flat and were hoping the Ravens didn't want to play, but the Ravens came out on fire looking to upset the Chargers on their perfect season. The Chargers defensive unit gave up two first downs and another one on a penalty . The Chargers defense regrouped and forced the Ravens into a punt that went out of bounds on the Chargers 6 yard line. QB McCray dropped the ball on the snap and recovered it in the end zone for a safety for the Ravens. The Ravens lead the Chargers 2 - 0 early in the first quarter. The Chargers continued to struggle on both sides of the ball with penalties, dropped balls and poor tackling. For the first time this season, the Chargers were down at a end of a quarter. The defense was able to keep the Ravens from getting a key forth and inches play to turn the ball over on downs to the Chargers offense. That seemed to create a spark into the offense, thus resulting in a 11 play 84 yard drive that ended with a TD pass to WR Troy Ham from QB McCray. Special teams turned up the heat with a Ravens turnover on the 30 yard line. The Chargers wasted no time moving the ball into scoring position when WR Reggie Manely caught a crossing route and ran down to the Ravens 2 yard line with 4 seconds left before half time. On the next play, QB McCray scored on a QB sneak and scored the 2 point conversion to take a 16 - 2 lead into half time.

In the the third quarter, the Chargers running game controlled the clock, while scoring two more TDs on the ground with a 1 yard run by QB McCray and TB Roland Whitting 11 yard TD run late in the third quarter for his first touchdown of the season. The Chargers finished the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 12 play drive ending with WR Troy Ham catching a 2 yard pass from McCray for his league leading 14th touchdown catch.
