Chargers Dismantle the Packers 46 - 0!

The Chargers made quick work of the Packers scoring 34 points in the first half. The Chargers offense scored off their first 2 drives to take a 14 - 0 lead in the first quarter. The defense increased the pace in the second quarter with two scores out of three possessions with a blocked punt by (S) Wade Fauntelroy and an 8 yard return by LB Maurice Gindraw for a touchdown. On the next possession for the Packers, (DE) David Carter intercepted a pass and went 33 yards for touchdown. The Chargers finished the first half with a 30 yard scoring pass to (WR) Reggie Mandley from QB Demartiel.

In the second half the Chargers went on a 7 play 54 yard drive and ended it with a touchdown pass to (TE) Ed Giddings for his second touchdown of the game, giving the Chargers a 40 - 0 lead early in the 3rd quarter. The Chargers made another big play when DE David Carter sacked the Packers quarterback, forced a fumble and (DT) Mike Brothers returned it 3 yards for touchdown.
