![]() Chargers Shaved The Rams 15 - 0 On Saturday night the Chargers defeated the Rams in a hard hitting game 15-0The Chargers started the game without their starting QB Demartiel who arrived late to the game. Backup QB McCray step in and move the team on a 61 yard drive to the rams 10 yard line before he turn ball over with a int on the Rams 7 yard line. The defense unit set the tune early with a 3 and out series forcing the Rams to punt from their own 12 yard line. The Chargers offense took over on the Rams 38 yard line were able to move the ball on the ground with (TB) Northern and (FB) Thompson. The Chargers had a first and goal when (FB) Thompson went right and fumbled on the 1 yard line and turned the ball over. The Chargers came out looking for a turnover or a safety since they were playing so close to the goal line. (DT) M. Brothers was able to tackle the Rams running back in the end zone for a safety to take a 2 - 0 lead in the first quarter. The Chargers took their next procession from the Rams 47 yard line with (TB) Northern getting 6 yards per carry. QB Demartiel executed a play action fake, rolled right and found WR Troy Ham in the back of the end zone for a Chargers touchdown giving the Chargers an 8-0 lead late in the first quarter. Defense Coordinator Dan Ellis who missed the game, due to a scheduling conflict, turned the defense over to the assistant defense coaches Vito Amicone and Sheldmon Sandlers who kept the Rams off balance all game. The defense kept the offense in good field position but the Chargers were unable to put more points on the board. |
