Chargers Loss the DVIFL Kickoff Classic 14-8 to Logan’s Dolphins

The Chargers started with their worse loss in the Chargers History to a new team Logans Dolphins 14-8 , many Chargers starters was not on the field missing 7 players on the Offensive side and the Chargers Defensive also several players was missing !

The Chargers was unable keep drives together with penalty’s and drop balls and bad snap! The Chargers first drive FB Salaam Thompson ended with big runs keeping to Dolphins defense unbalance the chargers was set for their first score when Rookie QB Matt McPherson fumble on the Dolphins 15 yard line to end the drive. The Chargers defensive team made quick work of the Dolphins Offense and the Dolphins had to punt, the Chargers had good field and was able to get drive together with runs by TB- Jerome quick runs inside the Dolphins 25 yard line, QB Matt McPherson hit WR Reggie Manley on a post corner for a touchdown and make a 2 point conversion the Chargers lead 8 -0 going into the half..

Second Half:
The chargers started the second half with a on side kick and the Chargers recover the ball on their 43 yard line unable to get end the end zone do to offensive line 2 penalty” that ended the drive . The Chargers defensive again need they needed a big play on the defensive side but Dolphins Offensive was able make 2 first down on Chargers penalty to keep the drive on, the Chargers held them to a punt the Chargers started their drive on their own 2 yard line before gaining yard by Wr. Reggie Manley on 2 toss sweeps get to the Chargers to the 50 yard lines It seam the Chargers was ready to a make big plays, before another penalty was hit on the offensive line putting the chargers in third and long pass Chargers QB roll right looking for a receiver before, DB interception the ball and return it back for Touchdown to make the lead Chargers 8-6 with extra point was missed. The Chargers had many opportunity to seal the game in the forth quarter but was unable keep a drive alive with drop passes and penalty. Giving the dolphins a shot to win the game the Chargers made two penalties on that drive to keep the dolphins alive with a late td pass to beat The Might Chargers 14-8
